"The English Renaissance in Music," a collaborative concert event featuring Fitchburg State Choirs, the Christ Church Fitchburg Choir, and professional early music instrumental ensemble Seven Times Salt, will perform at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 at Christ Church Fitchburg, 569 Main Street.
The Fitchburg State Choirs, the Christ Church Fitchburg Choir, and professional early music instrumental ensemble Seven Times Salt combine forces to perform music from, and inspired by, the Renaissance era in England. The program includes music by English Renaissance composers like William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, and Orlando Gibbons, as well as Renaissance-influenced works by modern composers like Emma Lou Diemer and Adolphus Hailstork.
The concert is open to the public, with a $10 suggested donation for adults and $5 suggested donation for students, but no one will be turned away.
